Proposition 218 Assessments

Recommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to respond to petitions and cast ballots for Proposition 218 assessments for the County, which

requires public agencies to send notices and ballots to all affected property owners prior to increasing or imposing a new benefit assessment, of up to 5,000 annually per assessment, in accordance with existing Board policies, in support of, or in opposition to, impositions of or increases to special benefit assessments, in accordance with existing Board policies, and provide an annual report to the Board of all ballots cast.
