SUMMARY DISCUSSION:On April 24, 1997, the California Assembly passed House Resolution 25. Through th
is Resolution, the Assemblydeclared that the fourth Friday of April is proclaimed as "Children's Memorial Day", and that the Children'sMemorial Flag be flown on this day each year in remembrance of those children whose lives were cut short bysenseless violence.The month of April is designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month and many activities are held and recognizedduring the month. The Office of Child abuse Prevention (OCAP) encourages all California counties to participate in
a statewide rising orthe Children 's Memorial Flag on Friday, April 27, 2018. Statewide participatio
n in the raisingof the Children's Memorial Flag will provide counties with an avenue to increase awareness of child abuse andneglect through a unified message and facilitate broader community involvement in child abuse prevention.The attached proclamation recognizes the importance of the children in our community and the commitment wehave to ensure their safety and well-being.The Department is respectfully requesting approval of the attached proclamation declaring April 27, 2018 asChildren's Memorial Day in Inyo County.

providerof ballot and election printing needs for Inyo County in excess of ten years. These services include printing Offcial Ballots,Sample Ballots, Candidate's Statements, translation services, Vote-by-Mail envelopes, Vote-by-Mail Instructions, Precinctkit materials, Election Officer Digests and all other election printing needs. Each election cycle, ProVoteSolutions offers adiscount to counties on the overall estimated cost of printing election materials. In the past, Inyo County has opted to takeadvantage of this discount without issue. For the June S, 2018 Direct Primary Election.
