Parks and Recreation Director Miller introduced Michael Svetz, Pros Consulting, who was contracted to update

Commissioner Strawn communicated to staff his concerns regarding parks and their maintenance.

Supervisor DaSilva updated the Commissioners on upcoming events and extended an invitation to 5th Annual Kids

Fest event. Getting ready for new hires, testing for lifeguards, and movies in the parks. Commissioners were given a

copy of our summer catalog and some promotional items.

Superintendent Dias updated the Commission on the Lacey median project and trimming of palm trees at Lacey

Park that had not been pruned in a long time. He extended an invitation for two-three Commissioners to be part of a

selection process for the new playground for Lacey Park. The selection would be on Tuesday, April 2nd at 1 p.m.

Commissioners Strawn, Clancy, and Lewis volunteered to be part of this process.

Supervisor Chavez informed the Commission of her 6th Annual Zumbathon, which takes place at the Civic

Auditorium, March 15th at 6-8:30 p.m. All money raised through this event goes into our assistance program fund,

which helps the children in our community attend various programs we offer.
