A. Motion to adjourn Regular Meeting and enter into Executive Session pursuant to Section 30-4-70 (a)(1)(2)(5) to receive legal advice on a Tax
Increment Financing Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Georgetown County; to discuss matters relating to the gap analysis/report, proposed location of and provision of services to the Hotel George project in the City; to discuss appointments to Construction Board of Appeals and KGB; and to discuss employment and compensation for the open position in the Public Works Department for Public Works Director.
C. Motion to ratify submission of the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Grant application for the Historic District Stormwater Improvements
to address drainage issues with improvements on the (1) Front Street System and Constitution Park Bulkhead, (2) El Cerro System, and (3) the Queen Street system. Funding for this grant would come from the federal government at 80 through the EDA and the City s Stormwater fees at 20 (subject to Council s appropriations).
A. Motion to approve agreement and make payments to Rosenblum Coe Architects, Inc. to provide professional services for the renovations of Bobby
Alford Building and sports fields at East Bay Park for a not-to-exceed amount of 74,828.00. The work includes architectural, engineering and construction administration services to convert the existing abandoned gym building to an open air picnic pavilion with restrooms and ADA parking. The project will also include outdoors fields for basketball, sand volleyball, and Bocce ball court.
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, SOUTH CAROLINA PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA, THE APPROVAL OF A
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE FINANCING OF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO (the TIF Ordinance ), the City determined that there existed within the City certain areas which were, or threatened to become, blighted; development and redevelopment of such areas would be encouraged through the City s undertaking of certain municipal projects.
The Council has reviewed the IGA, the final form of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and by and through this Resolution does hereby approve the
terms of the IGA and further ratifies all such prior approvals regarding the IGA in the TIF Ordinance. The IGA shall be executed and delivered on behalf of the City by the City Administrator. The consummation of the transactions and undertakings described in the IGA and such additional transactions and undertakings as may be determined by the City Administrator in consultation with the Council to be necessary or advisable in connection therewith, are hereby approved. In connection with the execution and delivery of the IGA, the City Administrator is additionally authorized to prepare, review, negotiate, execute, deliver, and agree to such additional agreements, certifications, documents, closing proofs, and undertakings as she shall deem necessary or advisable.
